Dr. Adams was awarded the 2016 DARPA Young Faculty Award for a new project titled, “Modeling and Characterization of Wideband Communications Via Narrowband Channels Using Direct Modulation”.
This research seeks to understand the fundamental principles behind direct antenna modulation systems, and in order to break the “Chu limit” that bounds the bandwidth of passive electrically small antennas.
