She develops AI-driven solutions by integrating machine learning, image analysis, and heterogeneous datasets to support sustainable production and industry practices. Her work focuses on developing models and decision-support tools for sweetpotato quality assessment, grading optimization, and stakeholder engagement through the development of interactive dashboards.<\/p>\n<p>Mariella earned her Ph.D. in Biological and Agricultural Engineering at NC State, focusing on predictive modeling for sweetpotato yields using statistical, process-based, and machine learning models.
