NCSU’s ECE Department organized a panel session for undergraduate and graduate students interested in learning about the pathway to a career as academic faculty. Dr. Pavlidis was invited to sit on the panel, alongside Drs. Dan Stancil (ECE Chair), Paul Franzon (Director of Graduate Programs), Jacob Adams, Shih-Chun Lin, Hung-Wei Tseng and Bob Evans. The session provided a broad overview of what life in academia is like, as well as the various types of faculty positions that exist (e.g., tenure-track vs. non-tenure-track). Tips for navigating the application process were also given.
