Ujjwal Pratik

Ujjwal was born and raised in Bihar, India. He graduated from National Institute of Technology Silchar, India with a B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering (2016). He then received a M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering at Utah State University (2019), advised by Dr. Zeljko Pantic. During his Masters, He was a Research Assistant at the Utah State University Power Electronics Laboratory (UPEL). He worked on multiple projects such as developing wirelessly charged electric wheelchair, designing decoupled coils and capacitive coupler based WPT. This research experience inspired him to join PhD program at NC State University (2019).

His research interest includes High-Frequency Power Electronics Converters and Wireless Power Transfer. At RELACS, He is currently involved with the following projects: Class-E based WPT charging system, Wheelchair project, and Capacitive wireless power transfer.

In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, cooking, and exploring Raleigh.
