Shokoufeh Valadkhani

Ph.D. Student

Shokoufeh was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. She graduated with a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), and she completed her B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at Tehran University. Her master thesis, “Transformer Rectifier Unit Design, Simulation, and Prototyping with a Flat Power-Efficiency Curve in a Wide Range of Output Power for Cathodic Protection Applications,” mainly studies power-factor-correction and DC-DC converters and their control strategies. Based on this research, she has published some journals and conference papers.

Shokoufeh is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from NC State University under the supervision of Dr. Zeljko Pantic. She is also working as a graduate research assistant at the Future Renewable Electric Energy Delivery and Management (FREEDM) Systems Center. Her research interests include the design, modeling, and control of power electronic converters.
