She worked as a research assistant at the University at Buffalo, SUNY, Buffalo, NY, from 2019 to 2021. His research interests are in mixed signal RFIC design and ISAC.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:15% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"144\" height=\"144\" src=\"https:\/\/research.ece.ncsu.edu\/sureshv\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2026\/07\/Balram-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-494 size-full\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Balram Pillai<\/strong> received the B.Tech degree in 2018 from the University of Kerala, India and the M.S degree in 2021 from the Indian Institute of Science, where his research involved modelling Surface Acoustic Wave devices for quantum computing applications. Until 2023, he had been with Astrome Technologies, a millimeter wave startup, designing phased arrays for backhaul applications in the E-band.
