CVS Repository

The goal of the CVS repository is to enable collaboration (at the very least between you and your adviser) and to offer some form of backup. Please do not use it as your only backup.

The WALAN CVS setup is based on Dr. Mueller's CVS setup . Follow the same steps as in Dr. Mueller's page with the following exceptions:

• The latest Tortoise CVS doesn't seem to work well with ssh. Use version 1.6.13 instead.
• The cvs server is arabella.ece.ncsu.edu (instead of clack.csc.ncsu.edu).
• Your user id will not be your unity id, but your first name (all small caps).
• Therefore the two environment variables are:

    export CVS_RSH=ssh
    export CVSROOT=<firstname>@arabella.ece.ncsu.edu:/home/cvs/cvs
    

• You do not have the necessary rights to start a project. I will do that for you.
