Dr. Sener Dikmese has joined the MPACT Lab as a postdoctoral researcher. His main research areas are cognitive radio, spectrum sensing, 5G, energy detection, and resource allocation. Previously he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Tampere University of Technology (TUT), Finland between March 2015 and October 2016. He worked as a researcher at the same department between 2009 and March 2015. He worked as a research assistant at the Department of Computer Engineering, Kocaeli University, Turkey between 2005 and 2009. He worked as a visiting researcher at University of South Florida, USA in 2007, at CTTC, Spain in 2012 and at SUPELEC, France in 2013. He has a solid research background in digital signal processing, CR, spectrum sensing, cooperative communications, smart antennas, beamforming algorithms, FPGA implementation, USRP, 4G, 5G cellular systems, MIMO systems, and resource allocation. He has over 30 publications in international high quality journals and conferences. He has involved in different duties for several international research projects.
