Outreach Activities

  • May 2024World Microwave Congress –  An unique program which allows for geographic and economic inclusion. Key goal is to bring young professions, early career practitioners, researchers and students from across the globe to share the cutting-edge knowledge on semiconductors, circuits and system design. I was the Technical Program Committee Chair for this congress. Key highlights of the events are noted below:
  • Close to 1300 registrants from 53 Countries
  • Female to Male Participant Ratio: 25%
  • 30% of Participants were Industry Professionals
  • Article in IEEE Microwave Magazine

March 2024Engineering Place – Engineering Bits and Bytes – Outreach for elementary school children to get them excited about engineering and in particular about Electrical and Computer Engineering. This session involved children working on simple circuits and I designed the demonstrations

May 2023, April 2024ASSIST Center – Wearable Device Challenge for High School Students – Judge for the competition.


Prior Outreach and Community Engagement Activities

Prison Teaching Initiative – The Prison Teaching Initiative seeks to bridge Princeton University’s academic and service-driven missions by providing the highest-quality postsecondary education to incarcerated students in New Jersey. I was an instructor in this program where I taught college level Physics inside a correctional facility. 

Young Professionals in Space Program: The main motto of this technical program is to bring world renowned experts from different fields of space technology and young professionals from all over the world under one umbrella. This program also showcased women entrepreneurs in the area of Space Technologies and gave them a platform to network and connect with other major players in the field. I was one of the organizer of this event. Link to event overview was covered my IEEE Microwave Magazine.
