Current Team

Vikram Reddy Anapana received his master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. His work lies at the intersection of AI/ML for RF system and device design for applications in RFIC and integrated communication/sensing.

Xiaowen Tian received her B.E. degree in Electronic Information Engineering and her M.E. degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, China, in 2016 and 2019. She worked as a research assistant at the University at Buffalo, SUNY, Buffalo, NY, from 2019 to 2021. Her research interests span the broad areas of signal processing and communications, including physical layer security, channel estimation and mmWave phased array systems.

Mian Ahmed Mehmood received his bachelor’s degree from Pakistan and his Masters from North Carolina State University in Electrical Engineering. His research interests are in non-terrestrial network antenna platform design and phased array design.

Ben Thomas received his B.S. and M.S. from North Carolina State University. His research interests are in mixed signal RFIC design and ISAC.

Balram Pillai received the B.Tech degree in 2018 from the University of Kerala, India and the M.S degree in 2021 from the Indian Institute of Science, where his research involved modelling Surface Acoustic Wave devices for quantum computing applications. Until 2023, he had been with Astrome Technologies, a millimeter wave startup, designing phased arrays for backhaul applications in the E-band. His research interests include silicon-based power generation in the sub-THz bands, oscillator design and injection locking techniques.

Amanda Coronel is an undergrad student and is part of the Grand Scholars Challenge Program (GSCP). She works on using multi-spectral data (RF-to-Optical) to create 3D spatio-temporal geographical maps.

Arnav Tala is an undergrad student at ECE department. Arnav works on developing machine learning algorithms to predict passive networks for millimeter wave technology.

Lincoln Hogan is an undergrad student at ECE dept. Lincoln is measurement and characterization tools for millimeter wave experiments.

Landon Traynor is an undergrad student at ECE dept. Landon is measurement and characterization tools for millimeterwave experiments.
