Objective: Designing a hierarchical control algorithm for DC microgrid
Summary: In this project, I am working on controlling algorithm for DC microgrids. DC microgrids can have different applications, such as building-scale, Electric Vehicle (EV), or More Electric Aircraft (MEA). Multi objectives have to be addressed. Battery management is the most important goal. Besides, suppressing circulating current and investigate the stability of the system are other objectives.
Impact: The ideas are implemented in TI DSPs and Typhoon as a device of Control Hardware-In-The-Loop (CHIL). Then, the proposed methods can be implemented in a real time simulator to observe how the outcomes can be, in the real world.
