Semih Isik is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at North Carolina State University at Raleigh, NC under Dr. Subhashish Bhattacharya. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Nigde University, Turkey in 2014 and his M.Sc. thesis from NC State University in 2018. His current research is focused on Modular Multilevel Converters and on dynamic control of FACTs devices to enable large scale penetration of renewable energy resources.
