Lucas Thomaz
I received a Master’s degree in Electric Engineering from the Electrical Engineering Program of COPPE/UFRJ (Brazil) in 2015. I have obtained a degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering by Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) in 2012 having received the Diploma de Dignidade Acadêmica level Cum Laude.
I am a Ph.D Student at COPPE/UFRJ (Brazil) and a Visiting Research Scholar at NCSU.
My current research interests include Image and Video Processing, Machine Learning and Convolutional Neural Networks.
My present work concerns the detection of anomalies in surveillance videos acquired by moving cameras in cluttered scenes by using sparse decomposition techniques.
